JUSTICE FOR THE DAMNED
“CLAWING WOUNDS”
Justice For The Damned have unleashed a filthy little ripper with “Clawing Wounds”, the fourth taste of their upcoming album Stay Relentless (out Aug 15 via Greyscale). And mate - this one’s a wild dog on a short leash.
Opening with a deceptively moody vibe, the track quickly throws you headfirst into the blender. It’s chaotic, it’s frantic, and it sounds like a fuckin’ panic attack in a burning warehouse. Guest growler Taylor Barber (Left To Suffer) pops up halfway through to scream your eyebrows off, just in case you were still breathing by then.
The band reckon this one’s a sonic detour, and they’re not wrong - it’s unhinged even by Justice standards. The breakdowns hit like a ute full of bricks, and the production (cheers to Steve Seid & Will Putney) is absolutely filthy.
The video? Directed by Carl Whitbread, it’s a bleak, animated punch in the face - the kind of visual that makes you want to fight your own shadow.
In short, “Clawing Wounds” is a vicious little bastard of a track. If this is Justice getting experimental, then let the weirdness reign. Pre-order the album, cancel your therapist, and start stretching your neck.
