Brissie’s own DIESECT are back with their third EP, and Hide From The Light is a fkn emotional mugging. Out May 30, it’s a concept record that grabs you by the guts and drags you through the slow descent of giving up on healing and just letting the darkness do its thing. Uplifting? Not a chance. Standouts? Too Many Scars is a full-blown mental breakdown set to music. Shura is chaos and melody doing lines off the same table. And There Was Never Light - well, that one’s just emotional sandpaper straight to the face.
