Harroway“Narsociety”

(Independent / Out Now)

If you’ve ever looked at Instagram for more than ten seconds and felt your soul quietly slip out the window, Harroway’s new single “Narsociety” is gonna hit like a brick through your ring light.

The Sydney metalcore crew are back with a melodic gut punch that blends heavy riffs with an existential slap upside the head. The title? A mash up of narcissism and society - fitting, considering it takes aim at the fake as fuck world of online validation, doom scrolling, and the kind of shallow performance culture that makes you want to throw your phone in the nearest lake.

Produced by Mark Williamson (Keywork Audio) and mastered by the ever-reliable Kris Crummett, “Narsociety” sounds slick without losing any of its bite. It’s a moody bastard of a track, with soaring cleans balanced against thick, groovy breakdowns and lyrics that aren’t afraid to poke a finger right in the eye of the modern ego trap.

It’s not all just noise and angst though - there’s some real catharsis here. Harroway have always worn their hearts (and trauma) on their sleeves, and this track’s no different. It’s raw, honest, and hits that weird sweet spot between punching a hole in the wall and crying in the shower.

Since their 2023 EP I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore, the crew have gone from strength to strength - sharing stages with Make Them Suffer, We Came As Romans, and more, and they’ll be out again smashing a regional NSW tour starting next week. Get in the pit or stay home, ya coward.

“Narsociety” is a heavy hitting anthem for anyone fed up with fake shit. Crank it loud, scream into the void, and maybe, just maybe, uninstall TikTok.
