SEEK MISERY — Scars Bare Your Name
Adelaide heavy legends, Seek Misery don’t just drop songs, they drop fucking anvils. Their latest single “Scars Bare Your Name” featuring Dane Evans of To The Grave is a venom soaked statement that proves these lads aren’t here to take part, they’re here to take heads.
From the opening lines, “Cursed to remember every wasted word…” you know you’re not getting sunshine and daisies. This track is a brutal exorcism of betrayal, grief, and self destruction, framed in some of the heaviest, nastiest riffs the band has unleashed to date. Ryan Dennis spits each line like it’s been ripped straight from an open wound, his gutturals scraping against Simone Pietroforte’s slick, punishing mix.

Then there’s Dane fkn Evans. His verse detonates right in the middle of the chaos, bringing that signature To The Grave ferocity, equal parts unhinged and commanding. His vocal delivery feeling like a knife twisting, leaving the listener gutted but grinning.
Musically, Seek Misery have dialed into a filthy sweet spot — deathcore heft meets metalcore urgency, spiked with a sprinkle of nu-metalcore groove. It really is the ultimate combo for Seek Misery to carve out their own unique sound in this saturated world of heavy music.

What makes Scars Bare Your Name so dangerous is its balance of technical tightness and raw emotional savagery. It’s not heavy for the sake of heavy, it’s heavy with purpose. And that purpose is to drag every bit of anguish into the light, kicking and screaming.
If this is what’s next for Seek Misery, the Australian heavy scene better buckle the fuck up. These lads are coming in hot.
