Dark IndicationSuppressed Horror

“A Vicious and Vivid Assualt”

Emerging from the depths of Bavaria’s Altmühltal region, Dark Indication have wasted no time in establishing themselves as a serious force in modern death metal. With only a few years under their belt, their debut full length, Suppressed Horror, is nothing short of a brutal mission statement — one that proves this band isn’t here to play nice. They’re here to punish.

From the moment the first track hits, Suppressed Horror doesn’t ask for your attention — it fkn demands it. The album is an unrelenting, precisely crafted assault that blends the grit of old-school death metal with the technical finesse and dynamic range of modern extremity. The production is razor-sharp yet punishingly heavy, allowing each member of the band to shine without sacrificing the rawness that defines the genre.

Vocalist Jonas “Lürwe” Liebl delivers a standout performance, spewing forth gutturals that feel ripped straight from the abyss. His lyrics are steeped in nihilism, existential dread, and decay — the perfect companion to the album’s sonic punishment. Sebastian “Postner” Gerler and Michael “Slavinator” Slavitski handle guitar duties with ferocity, balancing chainsaw riffs and melodic leads with effortless fluidity. Meanwhile, Johannes “Hannes” Ehbauer’s drumming is nothing short of mechanical precision — all blast beats, fills, and rhythmic chaos, grounded perfectly by Maik “Captain” Scholz’s thunderous low-end bass work.

Tracks like Moloch,Deathcreeper, and the title track Suppressed Horrorshowcase the band’s ability to shift between relentless speed and mid-tempo groove without losing intensity. There’s a deep sense of purpose here, every section crafted with intent — not a second wasted.

Rather than reinventing the wheel, Dark Indication double down on what makes death metal timeless: crushing riffs, guttural vocals, and sheer aggression. But they do it with clarity, precision, and a clear artistic vision.

Suppressed Horror is not just an impressive work of art — it’s a warning shot. Dark Indication have arrived, and they’re only getting started.

Rating: 9/10

Uncompromising. Technical. Ruthlessly tight. One of the strongest death metal debuts of 2025.
